The first step in the treatment of any waste-water, both municipal and industrial, is the mechanical treatment incorporating the elimination of gross solids by screening, removal of grit and the removal of greasy floating matter. After this mechanical pre-treatment the waste-water is now ready for any further processing. The Combined Pre-Treatment accomplishes this.
It is a completely enclosed system for an external above ground (or below grade) installation that:
- Screens solids from the effluent
- Wash the screenings (on demand)
- Lifts the screenings above the effluent level
- De-waters the screenings which are discharged into conveniently placed skips or bag
- Separates grit/sand particles
- Lifts and de-waters the grit which is either discharged into the same skip or a separate skip or a bag
- Separates the greasy floating matter and discharge it by a proper outlet (on STU/C.DEG only)
